Yes! The FreeBitcoins.com faucet is legit. The balances of each faucet can be too low to send, but any faucet with a balance will be usable. You can also check our donations that we have received on any blockchain explorer. The blockchain explorer balance, won’t necessarily match the exact balance, but I believe the single deposit address balance gives donors confidence that their donation will be automatically credited to the balance after the proper amount of confirmations are reached.
We believe that we are the second most stable cryptocurrency faucet on the internet. Currently, I would honestly rank FreeBitco.in as the number one cryptocurrency faucet on the internet. FreeBitcoins.com however, offers many different types of cryptocurrency faucets, but our faucets often have a zero balance. FreeBitco.in has never had a zero balance to my knowledge (huge congrats FreeBitco.in team!)
FreeBitcoins.com unfortunately has had to add a few safeguards to our faucet to protect ourselves against faucet abusers.
1. Your exchange (XChange) account must be 24 hours old. This gives me a chance to check new accounts as they roll in and preban abusers before they get a chance.
2. Your exchange (XChange) account must be protected by 2fa. This reduces your chances of being hacked to zero, but you MUST back your 2fa code up because if you lose your 2fa… you will likely lose your account! Please be careful with this.
